Arrest warrants were issued by the International Criminal Court (ICC) on November 21, 2024 against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defence Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity.

The International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants Thursday for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Yoav Gallant, Israel’s former defense minister who oversaw much of the war in Gaza.

The move by the International Criminal Court will complicate travel by Israel’s prime minister and former defense minister, who would risk arrest in the court’s member countries.

The leaders are accused of crimes against humanity and war crimes over the war in Gaza and the Oct. 7 Hamas attack on Israel.
