NEW YORK — New York City Police officers shot a man they say was armed with a gun in the Bronx on Friday. It happened near White Plains Road and Lafayette Avenue in the Soundview section just after 3 p.m. Police say the entire incident was caught on police body-worn cameras and external cameras.

Police shot a 19-year-old man in the leg in the Bronx on Friday, police sources told the Daily News. Officers shot the man on White Plains Road near Lafayette Ave. in Soundview around 3:10 p.m., cops said. The wounded man was taken to Jacobi Medical Center in stable condition. A firearm was recovered from the scene.
