University of Massachusetts' flagship campus is urging international students who are traveling over the holidays to return to the country before President-elect Donald Trump is inaugurated.

The school said the suggestion is based on previous travel bans that were enacted by the last Trump administration in 2017.

Amid fears that his administration may implement travel restrictions, a number of US colleges have issued travel advisories for its foreign employees and students, advising them to return to the US prior to President-elect Donald Trump's inauguration in January of next year.
