LeBron James announced on Wednesday that he’s taking a break from social media. The Los Angeles Lakers star made the announcement on his X, formerly known as Twitter, and Instagram accounts, writing: “Getting off social media for the time being. Y’all take care.”

"Getting off social media for the time being" he wrote after re-posting a complaint about the negativity of sports coverage.

The Lakers player says he will disappear from social media from now on. He will focus on the NBA and other matters outside of that field.
