Virat Kohli broke a heap of records with his 30th Test ton, helping him supass Sachin Tendulkar's hundred tally in Australia with his seventh century in 27 innings during the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.

Kohli also surpassed Indian cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar, who had six centuries in Tests against Australia on home soil. Kohli now holds the record for the most centuries by any visiting batter in Australia, with a total of 10 across all formats.

This was Kohli's 81st century in international cricket as he brought up a three-figure score in Test cricket after 18 months and his first overall since the century in the World Cup semi-final last year against New Zealand.

Apart from equaling Tendulkar's record, Kohli has also gone past West Indies's Desmond Haynes by scoring his 23rd 50-plus Test score against Australia in Australia. He is now second on the list of most fifties scored against Australia on their home turf. The only player ahead of him is WI legend Vivian Richards with 36 Test fifties.
