NIE Networks says power has been restored to nearly all of its customers following Storm Darragh. It said 15 customers still require more complex repairs but that "generators have been provided to ensure they have electricity until permanent fixes are completed".

A man died and hundreds of thousands of people in Britain and Ireland have been left without power as high winds and heavy rain battered the region.

More than 2,000 homes in Herefordshire and Worcestershire remain without power in the wake of Storm Darragh. In Worcestershire, hundreds of trees were brought down by winds of up to 60mph. The county council said its "tree gangs" were called out to 150 incidents over the weekend.

Some 20,000 customers in Wales are still waiting for power to be restored after the storm.
