Last month, lottery officials announced it will cost $5 to play Mega Millions, beginning in April 2025, up from the current $2 per ticket. The price increase will be one of many changes to Mega Millions that officials said will result in improved jackpot odds, more frequent giant prizes and even larger payouts.

Here are the Mega Millions winning numbers for Friday, Nov. 22, 2024: Mega Millions drawings are held every Tuesday and Friday at 11 p.m. The cost is $2 per ticket, but you can add the Megaplier for $1, which will increase the amount of your potential prize up to five times the original prize (except for the jackpot).

The odds of matching the five white balls and Mega Ball to win the Mega Millions jackpot are 1 in 302,575,350. A jackpot winner has the option of taking an annuity or cash payment. The annuity is paid out as one immediate payment followed by 29 annual payments, according to the Mega Millions website. Each payment is 5% bigger than the previous one.

The Mega Millions jackpot for Tuesday’s lottery drawing has increased to an estimated $420 million, with a cash option of $191.7 million. The drawing will be held at 10:59 p.m. and televised on WABC-7 in New York City and Fox 29 in Philadelphia. NJ.com will publish the winning numbers immediately following the drawing.
