Gaza Beirut was shaken by an intense wave of Israeli bombing on Tuesday less than an hour before the Israeli security cabinet was set to vote on a proposed ceasefire deal with Hezbollah. Simultaneous air strikes hit south Beirut in one of the largest attacks of the war.

Israel’s air force has carried out massive strikes on Beirut's southern suburbs, a hotbed of the pro-Iranian Hezbollah movement, ahead of a possible ceasefire to end the fighting in Lebanon. Dozens of airstrikes simultaneously hit the Dahiyeh suburbs.

The ceasefire would reportedly be for an initial 60 days and include the withdrawal of Israeli forces from Lebanon.

BEIRUT: Multiple strikes hit Beirut on Tuesday (Nov 26), including areas not previously targeted in two months of war, state media reported, after Israel's military made unprecedented calls to evacuate central districts.
