Dejounte Murray’s long-awaited return to the New Orleans Pelicans lineup was anything but celebratory. Instead, it became a Thanksgiving Eve nightmare as the Pelicans were embarrassed 119-93 at home by the Toronto Raptors — a team that entered the night winless in 10 road games.

New Orleans Pelicans star Dejounte Murray's return to the lineup on Wednesday was less than ideal and he even apologised to fans.

"If you're not embarrassed and really mad about this, that's a problem," Dejounte Murray said after the Pelicans' 119-93 loss to the struggling Raptors on Wednesday night extended their losing streak to six games.

On Wednesday night, the New Orleans Pelicans team that was in the middle of a five-game losing streak at least got a bit of a win as they saw All-Star guard Dejounte Murray make his much-anticipated return to action after missing 17 games with a broken hand.
