The Dallas Mavericks and New Orleans Pelicans are set to go head-to-head in an NBA Cup game on Tuesday night. The Mavs will host the Pelicans as Dallas looks to win a third consecutive game. However, Luka Doncic is dealing with an injury concern.

After delivering an outstanding performance against the Pelicans, Luka Doncic underwent evaluation by the Dallas Mavericks' medical staff. However, the injury update ahead of their NBA Cup game was less optimistic than anticipated.

When speaking to the media after the Mavericks beat the Pelicans Tuesday, Luka Doncic had a wrap on his wrist. When asked what that was and when it happened he said, “I don’t know, honestly. I started feeling it in the first quarter, but then it just got worse, but nothing serious” ( via Grant Afseth ).
