The UK Met Office issued a red warning for strong wind in parts of coastal England and Wales on Saturday, as Storm Darragh is set to drive wind speeds as high as 90 miles per hour.

The Environment Agency has issued several dozen flood warnings across the UK, with most of the areas at risk in England, after Storm Darragh battered Britain over the weekend

Gusts of 90mph or more are possible and people are being warned to look out for flying debris.

Around three million people have been sent a warning alert on their phones ahead of Storm Darragh, in the largest use of the emergency system since it was first tested. The message appeared on the devices of people who live within the area that will be covered by a red Met Office warning for wind coming into effect tomorrow.
