Flooding continues in Sonoma County, deceased driver recovered from floodwaters
While the weather on Saturday offered a break from recent rains, Sonoma County is still having to contend with flooded driveways, fields, and grounds soaked in water, and flooded roadways.
Saturday: Roads closed around Sonoma County due to flooding
As of Friday morning, these roads were closed due to flooding or other issues in Sonoma County: • Langner, Whistler and Primrose avenues: Between Millbrae Avenue and Wilfred Avenue • Trenton Healdsburg Road: Between River Road and Mark West Station Road • Eastside Road: Between Trenton Healdsburg Road and Windsor River Road

On Friday at 3 a.m. an updated flood warning was issued by the NWS San Francisco CA valid from Friday 9 p.m. until further notice.

Authorities are investigating after a person was found dead inside a vehicle in Guerneville on Saturday morning.

A person has died after being submerged in a vehicle in floodwater near Highway 116 and Mays Canyon Road in Guerneville, according to the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office. At 11:29 a.m. on Saturday, the sheriff’s office was informed of a person trapped in a vehicle that was in floodwater in Guerneville.

The advisory was for Marin, Napa and Sonoma counties.
