Red flag warning issued for leeward areas of all islands
The National Weather Service has issued a red flag warning for the leeward areas of all Hawaiian isles, effective until 6 p.m. Thursday. Weather officials say the combination of dry fuels, low relative humidity and strong tradewinds will bring critical fire weather conditions to the leeward areas this afternoon as well as Thursday afternoon.

The National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Warning for leeward areas of all islands due to gusty winds and low relative humidity. The warning remains in effect until 6 p.m. Thursday. Red flag conditions are expected through early this evening, and again Thursday morning through Thursday afternoon.
