Fans of NetherRealm Studios' latest game may not be happy to learn that Mortal Kombat 1 support is allegedly coming to an end rather soon.

A known leaker has claimed that initially planned Mortal Kombat 1 DLC is now canceled. This included another Kombat Pack and a second story expansion. They state the reasoning behind this move is due to its previous expansion’s poor sales.

Mortal Kombat 1 was released in September 2023 and the latest roster additions ( as part of the Khaos Reigns update) include Sektor, Cyrax, Noob Saibot as well as the guest characters Ghost Face (Scream), Conan the Barbarian and T-1000 (Terminator).

According to a supposed leaker, NetherRealm might be scrapping its plans for a third year of Mortal Kombat 1 DLC, including a new story campaign.
