On Wednesday, the District 11 Board of Education voted to dissolve the teachers' master agreement. The decades-old master agreement was a contract that outlined working conditions, salaries and benefits for certified staff.

The future for many district teachers is up in the air after the board voted to do away with its agreement with the local teacher's union.

D-11’s Board of Education voted not to renew the master agreement that has been in place between them and the district’s teachers’ union, the Colorado Springs Education Association, since 1968 during a heavily attended special meeting Wednesday evening.
