The head of Canada’s opposition has called for Justin Trudeau to be fired for saying his government would abide by an international arrest warrant for Benjamin Netanyahu, the Israeli prime minister.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will be arrested if he travels to the UK following the issuance of an international arrest warrant for the leader by the International Criminal Court (ICC), according to a spokesperson for the UK Prime Minister's office.

The United States, like Israel, is not a party to the ICC, and has condemned the warrants against Netanyahu and former Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant.
