Fans jumped to social media to defend Shaboozey who is steady climbing the charts while country producers are making insensitive jokes.

The Country Music Association owes Shaboozey an apology after the 2024 CMA Awards featured multiple microaggressions aimed at the two-time nominee.

Producer and songwriter Trent Willmon addressed his CMA Awards comment about Shaboozey over the weekend, though he stopped short of offering an apology.
