The Kia EV6 GT matches the Hyundai Ioniq 5 N with up to 641 hp from dual electric motors, and gains simulated gear shifts

EV6 GT-Line pictured. No images of the 2025 EV6 GT are available yet. The 2026 Kia EV6 GT has been announced, marking the first major update of the performance electric SUV since its launch – with increased power and a virtual gearbox headlining the changes,

The refreshed EV6 first debuted in May 2024, with the North American-spec version making its appearance in November at the Los Angeles Auto Show. At the time, Kia only showed us the standard and GT-Line trims, so this marks the first full reveal of the full-blown GT variant.

Every 2025 Kia EV9 model is based on the brand’s E-GMP platform, which also underpins the likes of the EV6 and the Hyundai Ioniq 5 / Ioniq 6 models. The parent company's past work on sporty EVs has helped to inform this latest product, which seems to combine fan-favorite elements from both Hyundai and Kia EVs.

The new trim boosts horsepower from 379 to 501 and adds fake gear shifts (but just a reminder: 3-row SUVs are not sportscars)
