Alphabet Inc.’s Google and Samsung Electronics Co. unveiled a joint push into the mixed-reality market, introducing a new operating system and headset in a bid to challenge devices from Apple Inc. and Meta Platforms Inc.

Google also announced the first Android XR device, Project Moohan, a mixed-reality headset produced by Samsung that appears very similar to the Apple Vision Pro.

The Android XR platform will feature controller APIs, and Samsung's Project Moohan VR headset will ship with controllers. So, games are a go!
