In 1985, one department store manager described the day after Thanksgiving as "a black cloud hanging over" his employees.

The greater Green Bay Walmart stores — 2440 W. Mason St., 2292 Main St. and 1415 Lawrence Drive — will be closed on Thanksgiving Day. On Black Friday, the stores will be open from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m., as usual, for shoppers.
