Floods across the country have forced 136,926 people from 41,302 families into temporary shelters, with Kelantan and Terengganu bearing the brunt of the disaster, according to the Social Welfare Department’s (JKM) InfoBencana app's latest update this morning.

The flood situation in Terengganu has also worsened, with the number of evacuees standing at more than 8,000 as of last night.

Anwar, who is also the finance minister, said the funds, channelled through the Implementation Coordination Unit (ICU) of the Prime Minister’s Department, are for repairing essential infrastructure such as roads and drains, as well as raising road levels in Hulu Besut, Terengganu.
