The Indianapolis Colts aren’t ready to rule out wide receiver Josh Downs for their Week 13 matchup with the New England Patriots, but being available is going to be “tough,” as head coach Shane Steichen put it on Wednesday.

The Indianapolis Colts may be missing their leading receiver and a couple of offensive linemen when they visit the New England Patriots.

According to Ian Rapoport, Indianapolis Colts WR Josh Downs is “week to week” with a shoulder injury and his status for Week 13 is in jeopardy.

Unfortunately, Downs suffered a shoulder injury during the Week 12 game against the Detroit Lions. While Downs was able to return and finish the game, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported Monday that the shifty slot receiver is a long shot to play in Week 13 against the New England Patriots.

Downs suffered a right shoulder injury, and was questionable to return but returned to the field on the next drive. Downs came off the field with his hand on the right side, holding his helmet, and was examined by trainers on the bench for a while.
