George Russell won the Formula 1 race Saturday night in the Las Vegas Grand Prix and his Mercedes teammate Lewis Hamilton was second.

George Russell said he abandoned plans to celebrate his brilliant Las Vegas Grand Prix victory by jumping in the Bellagio fountains after revealing he suffered a four-month battle with pneumonia.

Earlier this year, Mercedes went 1-2 with drivers George Russell and Lewis Hamilton; it was stripped when Russell's car was found underweight. Four months later, the team finds redemption on the cold streets of Las Vegas.
