The FDNY responded to a deadly multi-alarm fire inside an apartment building on the Upper East Side on Monday night.Officials said the call came in just after 7:15 p.m. and units quickly responded to 526 E.

Officials are still looking for the cause of a fire that ripped through an apartment building on Manhattan’s Upper East Side Monday evening, leaving one person dead. Six firefighters suffered minor injuries.

One person was killed, another was injured and six firefighters sustained minor injuries and were treated for smoke inhalation, Assistant Chief of EMS Paul Miano said.
