We opted to go out of our way to visit this park instead of going straight to Austin from San Antonio because it looked so nice online. We parked and started walking. The "trail" was mostly a sidewal… Full review by hotweatherfan1

This park is well kept and a lovely walk right in the middle of town! Enjoyed the many families of ducks, and types of ducks, we saw along the way. Really beautiful. Full review by Maura G

When I lived in Boerne, I asked the same question as locals told me it was originally a creek.So I asked Mary Brady, who was the librarian in town for many years; here's what she told me. Indeed, in Boerne's early years, it was called a creek. As the town developed, that changed. When the road was named, the determining factor was the width from bank to bank; a creek was narrow, a river wider. This creek was wider than the designation so it became a river. Later on, the designation changed from the bank spread to the amount of water flowing through the creek/river bed. So that which was once a creek became a river, then a creek again. But the name stuck despite the river being demoted to a creek. Confused? Welcome to the club!!!
