The fort will reopen for February half term as far as I'm aware. They do 'Ghost Walks' for pre booked parties which might be earlier in the year? There are no lifts to upper levels so you would need to carry strollers upstairs, but there are lots of things to see at ground level.
Do they sell the Languard Fort guidebook, the one with the red spine, at the Fort itself?
