Really unique. You can see all the way to the bottom and can even see the actual spring working at the bottom. Also lots of fish swimming. It’s like being in an aquarium it’s so clear. Very prett… Full review by Christine S

This is a beautiful spring that is so clear to 45 feet. The short pulled boat trip across it was cool and the trout swimming are huge! Great quick stop for anyone and easy accessibility for many. … Full review by Sightseer390794
I would recommend going to the website. We went during the summer and now that there is cooler weather, you may have to follow the website rules and regulations.
It sure does. The water never freezes over. It is VERY cool to see. The last two times I was there, the lines can be very long. Nice gift shop while waiting.

I‘ve heard the line for the boat can be long so it’s best to go early. What time does it start to get busy? We can’t get there when it opens, but maybe late morning.

We went this past weekend on a Saturday afternoon in August. So it was the busiest time of the year. We arrived about 12:30pm and the line at that point was just over 90 minutes long. It got longer after us. It moves in jumps of 25-30 people at a crack about every 15-20 people depending on how fast that particular raft group takes the raft across. Was it worth the wait…. for sure. I would wait again if I was taking another group. You are waiting along side the lake in the shade so it is a very peaceful and relaxing setting. I also was there on an early Sunday morning in late September and there was no line. It varies greatly. I can’t wait to do it again on my next trip through the UP.
